This leading consultancy with multiple locations in the US and one in London had pockets of data talent around its business but no real way of tracking how it was being used. There was also little communication internally about what talent and experience it had. A decision was made to invest in building out a dedicated team. One that would include senior leadership, a sales function, back office support as well as technical resources of data strategists, scientists, engineers and analysts, all of varying levels.

We mapped out the various pools of data talent within the UK and US and married them up to the client’s areas of high customer concentration. We presented and executed a recruitment strategy to build a dedicated data practice in both regions. A member of the TechYard team was also installed to advise the board on talent. 


The client now has a dedicated data team that has a clear strategy of service lines. It supports internal customer projects as well as winning its own net new business. By expanding the service offering, the client has strengthened its position against the competition
